SC&H Group, a leading audit, tax, and consulting firm, recently hosted its 8th Annual Day of Service, which aims to give back to the community through company-wide volunteering efforts.
On an annual basis, employees from the SC&H Group offices in Sparks, MD and McLean, VA, dedicate the day to assisting those in need throughout Baltimore and Washington D.C.
This year, SC&H Group’s team in Sparks, MD volunteered its time at the following organizations in the Baltimore region:
- The Humane Society of Harford County
- Living Classrooms
- Port Discovery
- Franciscan Center, Inc.
- The Baltimore Station
- Otter Point Creek
- Garden Harvest
SC&H Group’s team in Northern Virginia volunteered its time at the following organizations:
- Sunrise of McLean
- Fairfax County Humane Society Office
- Bailey’s Crossroads Shelter
Volunteers did everything from helping care for sheltered animals to trash pick-up and cleanup to planting, watering, and harvesting on a farm to assisting veterans. In many cases, employees volunteer their time with these organizations and others outside of the Day of Service, as well as donate to charities through payroll deductions.

It is estimated that approximately 200 employees collectively donated more than 1,200 hours total of their time through this event.
