Tessemae’s (the “Company”) is a family-owned producer of premium, clean-label salad dressings and condiments sold through Whole Foods and other specialty retailers. Rapid growth, operational complexity, and liquidity challenges created sustained financial pressure for the business.
The Company filed for Chapter 11 in Maryland (Baltimore) after transitioning to outsourced manufacturing and selling its production facility. Strategic alternatives were evaluated to support ongoing operations and preserve market presence.
The business was acquired by Panos Brands, a portfolio company of HKW, providing continuity for customers and positioning the brand within a larger consumer packaged goods platform.
