Michael Fixler serves as a Managing Director with SC&H Capital, where he provides advice to both public and private companies, institutional investors, statutory committees, and special situation buyers and investors on a variety of strategic transactions to maximize value for his clients.
Prior to joining SC&H Capital, Michael co-led the Restructuring Investment Banking Practice at B. Riley Securities, Inc. and led the Special Situations Group for FocalPoint Partners, LLC before its acquisition. He also has previous experience serving as a general counsel and practicing corporate and securities law.
Michael received his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. Michael holds the Series 24, 63, 79, and 82 FINRA licenses and is active in the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, Secured Finance Network, and Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is also on the Board of the Midwest Chapter of the Anti-Defamation League and supports PAWS Chicago, the largest no-kill shelter in the Midwest.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf, trying new restaurants, and supporting his hometown teams – the Browns and Cavs, as well as the Cubs and Blackhawks. He also loves spending time with his fiancé, Cara, and their dog, Milly.
