Hatteras Yachts (the “Company”) is a manufacturer of high-end, semi-custom yachts owned by a private equity sponsor at the time of the transaction. Improper pricing on semi-custom work and a backlog of unfinished vessels created significant liquidity challenges.
As capital needs increased, strategic alternatives were pursued to identify a buyer with sufficient operational scale and financial resources. The sale process focused on ensuring long-term brand stability.
The Company was sold to White River Marine Group, an affiliate of Bass Pro Shops and the largest boat builder in the United States.
