SC&H Capital, an investment banking and advisory firm to middle market businesses, served as the financial advisor to The Bechdon Company (Bechdon) in their acquisition by an affiliate of Ridge Engineering (Ridge). Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ridge and Bechdon post-acquisition will operate independently, but as affiliates. As such, each company will be able to leverage the strengths of both product lines to generate new opportunities and build increased customer value – including each affiliate’s ability to offer significant savings to new and existing customers. The Bechdon Company, Inc., located in the Baltimore/Washington area has been serving the Aerospace, Defense, Commercial, and Industrial manufacturing community since 1966. The company offers a broad range of precision machining services including 5-axis capability on machines with travels to 196 inches and 18,000 RPM, as well as Wire and Ram (Sinker) EDM utilizing the latest improvements in CNC technology.
Ridge Engineering was established in 1967 and currently provides precision machining and sheet metal fabrication services to the defense industry. The company has a 67,500 facility in Hampstead, MD. The acquisition furthers Ridge Engineering’s prototyping and production capabilities while adding to the company’s defense customers.
