G&S Foods, Inc. is a co-packer and private label manufacturer of both salty and enrobed snacks located in a 110,000-square-foot facility in Abbottstown, PA near the heart of the snack food manufacturing industry. The company makes pellet snacks, pita chips, snack mixes, popcorn, flavored pretzels, cheese products, extruded products and enrobed products. The company also has a range of packaging capabilities, including form and fill bags, pouch style bags, bulk boxes, pallet display units, shippers/floor displays, tubs and containers and barrels.
G&S was owned by two partners who wanted to find a buyer with both industry expertise, but who would also have in mind the best interests of the employees and local community. SC&H conducted a national search for an ideal acquirer, evaluating both strategic and financial buyers. Ultimately G&S Foods selected a local family office with significant experience in the industry and presence in the community, MAW Acquisitions LP, a partnership of former owners of Snyder’s Bakery
