SC&H Capital, a leading investment bank specializing in M&A advisory for middle-market companies, is pleased to announce that its client, Stone Mountain Access Systems, Inc. (“Stone Mountain” or “SMAS”) has been acquired by Action Equipment and Scaffold Company (“Action Scaffold”).
Founded in 1996 in Chicago by Scott and Jane Billish, Stone Mountain is a respected provider of scaffold and specialty access solutions with operations serving customers throughout the Midwest and Southeast. Stone Mountain has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, safety, and customer-focused execution, providing suspended and fixed access solutions. With ownership looking to transition roles in the business and ensure employees were taken care of, Stone Mountain retained SC&H Capital to solicit interest from potential acquirers.
SC&H Capital ran an effective marketing process to identify potential suitors who fit the profile for what ownership was seeking and generated interest from several qualified parties. Ownership decided Action Scaffold, a provider of scaffold rental equipment, services, and access solutions with more than 70 years of operating history headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, was the best fit.
The combined organizations will create significant synergies through expanded resources, shared operational expertise, enhanced equipment availability, and broader service capabilities across multiple markets. Customers of both companies will benefit from increased scale while continuing to receive the personalized service and responsiveness they have come to expect.
