Peters Machine, Inc. – This 36–year–old specialized machine shop had borrowed heavily to expand capacity in order to meet an increase in volume, but shortly afterward, a drop in revenue forced the company to file chapter 11. SC&H Capital was retained to quickly find a buyer for the Illinois business before it was forced to shut down.
SC&H ran an exhaustive marketing process and, following a thorough evaluation of the market, narrowed the field to the three best buyers. After extensive negotiations with all three, a competitive auction was conducted and BMC Global, LLC was named the winning bidder, allowing for the continued operation of the business.
