SC&H Capital served as exclusive financial advisor to CDM Retirement Consultants
SC&H Capital, a leading investment banking and advisory firm focused on middle market and growth companies, served as the exclusive financial advisor to CDM Retirement Consultants (“CDM”) in its sale to Northwest Plan Services, Inc. (“NWPS”), a portfolio company of Pine Tree Equity II, LP, a private equity firm based in Miami, Florida (“Pine Tree”).
CDM, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Towson, Maryland, is a provider of open architecture retirement plan solutions, offering full service, comprehensive recordkeeping and expert administration to over 500 retirement plan clients. Collectively, NWPS and CDM provide retirement plan recordkeeping and administration for approximately $10.0 billion in assets and 180,000 plan participants.
CDM represents NWPS’ first add-on acquisition. Pine Tree Equity partnered with Mr. Tim Wulfekuhle, the President and Chief Executive Officer of NWPS, in November 2012 to recapitalize the platform in order to materially expand the company’s geographic presence. The acquisition of CDM positions NWPS with a strong presence on each coast and adds two experienced entrepreneurs in Mr. Chip Earle and Ms. Virginia McGinnis to the executive management team.
