Global M&A Network has named two SC&H Capital’s Special Situations engagements to its Winners Circle at the 18th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards. The sale of Tangible Play, Inc. (d/b/a Osmo) was named the Chapter 11 Restructuring of the Year (Lower Mid-Market) and the Danimer Scientific Chapter 11 Section 363 sale to Teknor Apex was named the Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year.
The Turnaround Atlas Awards are presented annually by Global M&A Network to recognize the best value-creating transactions in restructuring, distressed investing, and insolvency.
SC&H Capital played a central role in both winning transactions, serving as investment banker to Tangible Play and as investment banker to Teknor Apex in its acquisition of Danimer Scientific.
Tangible Play (d/b/a Osmo)
Led by Managing Director Ken Mann and Director Mike Gorman, SC&H Capital served as investment banker to Tangible Play, Inc., the maker of the award-winning Osmo education technology platform. SC&H conducted a competitive Section 363 auction process that resulted in a sale to Play Osmo, Inc., preserving the Osmo brand and restarting operations under new ownership.
Danimer Scientific
SC&H Capital, led by Managing Director Michael Fixler, served as investment banker to Teknor Apex in its acquisition of the assets of Danimer Scientific through a Chapter 11 Section 363 sale. SC&H guided Teknor through the stalking horse bid process and Delaware Bankruptcy Court approval, ultimately securing the assets of a leading bioplastics company with operations and intellectual property across more than 20 countries.
