SC&H Capital, a leading investment bank specializing in M&A advisory for middle-market companies, is pleased to announce that its client, Color Systems, has been acquired by PSE Group, a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners.
The buyer, PSE Group, is a leading distributor of automotive and industrial paint, coatings, and associated products with over 75 locations across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast. The acquisition of Color Systems expands PSE’s geographic footprint into the Greater New England region.
Color Systems is a distributor specializing in automotive paint and ancillary products to collision repair centers, fleet services, and light industrial customers across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Founded in 1971, the Company is led by Steven Choiniere who acquired the business from his father over 30 years ago. Color Systems has a strong presence in the Greater New England region with market-leading products and technical expertise that have resulted in long-standing customer relationships. This transaction provides Color Systems with a larger platform and access to capital to support the Company’s continued growth initiatives.

The transaction was led by Greg Hogan at SC&H Capital. Andrew Zarda of McDowell Rice Smith & Buchanan served as legal counsel to the Company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
