Michael Hanlon

Vice President

Michael Hanlon is a Vice President in the SC&H Capital practice with more than six years of middle market investment banking experience. He focuses on complex and special situations mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, and refinancing engagements. In his role, Michael supports clients by managing transaction execution to deliver optimal outcomes and lasting value.

Throughout his career, Michael has advised clients across a wide range of industries, guiding business owners and stakeholders through critical transitions. He brings hands-on experience managing multifaceted engagements and is committed to achieving results that align with each client’s strategic and financial goals.

Michael is passionate about being a trusted partner to his clients and colleagues. He values the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals while helping clients navigate unique challenges, maximize value, and preserve jobs for thousands of people.

Michael graduated magna cum laude from Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is a FINRA-registered investment banking representative (Series 79).

Outside of work, Michael serves on the NextGen Committee for the Maryland Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and is an active member of the Chesapeake Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
