Matt is a Principal in SC&H Group’s Risk Management practice with more than 14 years of experience executing internal audit, performance audit, internal control, business process improvement, and strategic consulting projects. He leads a team of professionals that deliver unbiased risk assessments, operational evaluations, improvements to strategy, and valuable enhancements to business processes.
Matt is driven to provide value over and above compliance. He places an intense focus on mitigating financial and operational risks, enhancing business processes to strengthen performance, streamlining operations, and developing practical solutions and improvement opportunities.
Matt is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Towson University, with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Maryland, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP). He is also a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the Maryland Government Finance Officers Association (MDGFOA).
Outside of work, Matt serves on the board of the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC), a Baltimore-based non-profit organization founded to help protect and maintain the Gunpowder Valley watershed. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, running, and being outdoors.
