Matt is a Principal in SC&H’s Risk Management practice, bringing more than 22 years of experience helping organizations strengthen governance, manage risk, and enhance operational performance.
He leads a team of talented professionals who deliver comprehensive risk mitigation and organizational improvement services, including internal and performance audits, risk assessments, internal control/SOX assessments, and business process and operational efficiency initiatives.
With more than two decades of experience serving clients across government, nonprofit, education, technology, utilities, transportation, and manufacturing sectors, Matt brings a diverse, cross‑industry perspective that enables him to translate complex challenges into practical, proven solutions informed by leading practices and tailored to each organization’s unique needs.
Matt is passionate about partnering with organizations to identify and address financial, operational, and compliance risks; streamline processes; and implement solutions that drive measurable, sustainable improvement.
His focus is always on delivering value that extends beyond compliance by empowering leadership with clarity, confidence, and improved decision‑making capabilities.
Matt is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP). He is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and currently serves on the Central Jersey IIA Board as Advocacy Chair and Fraud Conference Chair.
He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA), the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA), and the Maryland Government Finance Officers Association (MDGFOA). Matt holds a B.S. in Accounting from Towson University.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, going for a run, and making the most of life’s everyday moments.
