Judy Brown is a Principal and Senior Financial Advisor on the SC&H Financial Advisors team. Judy focuses on wealth management, retirement income strategies, tax planning, legacy planning, and charitable giving. Her financial planning approach is to listen to her clients, to focus on understanding what is important to them, and to evolve their financial plan as their lives and personal goals change.
Judy’s goal is to help her clients feel confident in their financial decisions. She feels that it’s important for her clients to know that they can trust her and that she’ll be there with answers to their questions or concerns. With over 30 years in the financial services industry, Judy expands her clients’ knowledge with opportunities they weren’t aware of or hadn’t considered when doing legacy, charitable, or tax planning.
Long-lasting relationships are the most fulfilling part of Judy’s role. She values being able to celebrate with her clients as they reach not only their financial goals, but their personal goals.
Judy graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Management and furthered her education through the University of Maryland Smith School of Business to obtain her MBA in Finance. She is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants Personal Financial Planning (MACPA PFP) Committee, and was a past board member for the Financial Planning Association of Maryland.
She values educating and giving back to the underserved and youth through providing basic financial strategies that are important to everyday life. She has volunteered with Money Power Day in Baltimore and the Smart Women Securities as a speaker to her alma mater.
Outside of work, Judy enjoys running, hiking, and traveling. She recently completed her first sprint triathlon. Judy has hiked the Inca Trail and the Grand Canyon, and particularly enjoyed visits to South Africa, Australia, and Turkey. Judy also loves spending time with her husband and two daughters.
