Jeremy VanEtten is a Principal in the Corporate Restructuring practice at SC&H, based in Philadelphia. He brings more than 13 years of experience guiding distressed companies, creditors, lenders, and fiduciaries through complex financial and operational challenges. He advises clients across Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies as well as out-of-court restructurings, providing thoughtful, hands-on support during moments of transition and uncertainty.
Jeremy has worked across a wide range of industries—including technology, retail, aerospace, entertainment, energy, and manufacturing—bringing a deep understanding of each sector’s unique pressures and opportunities. Prior to joining SC&H, he spent over a decade at a Delaware-based financial advisory firm, where he developed and executed restructuring strategies for high-profile bankruptcy cases. He has a robust expert witness practice, supporting clients in the prosecution and defense of Chapter 5 causes of action.
Jeremy is known for his pragmatic approach, collaborative style, and steady leadership in high-stakes situations. He is passionate about helping clients achieve the best outcomes in complex financial landscapes with confidence and clarity. His contributions have earned Turnaround Atlas and TMA awards, and he currently serves as Treasurer of the TMA Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter and Marketing Chair of the TMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium.
Jeremy holds an MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the community through music and service. He is the lead singer of The DebtBeats, a group he formed in 2024. The band has raised over $100,000 for charitable causes, has performed at the 2024 TMA Annual Conference, and has upcoming shows in New York City, Atlantic City, and New Orleans. He is the recipient of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Minneapolis Team Member of the Year and the Hero Award.
