Jeff Stavely is a Principal in SC&H’s Risk Management practice, bringing more than 25 years of experience in Internal Audit, Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Risk Advisory services. Before rejoining SC&H in 2025, Jeff served for 17 years as the Chief Audit Executive for a prominent multi‑hospital academic medical system, where he built and led a high‑performing, best‑in‑class internal audit function.
As CAE, Jeff oversaw the development and execution of a strategic, risk‑based audit plan aligned with organizational priorities and integrated with other risk functions. He provided independent, objective guidance to the Board of Directors and senior leadership, shaping governance practices, strengthening internal controls, and supporting key investigations and crises response. He also led the creation and implementation of the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management program, establishing a framework for proactive, enterprise‑wide risk oversight.
Jeff brings deep governance and audit leadership experience to help organizations elevate risk oversight and advance strategic objectives. He advises executive teams and boards on strengthening internal audit and compliance functions through enterprise risk assessments, operating model transformation, and outsourcing and co-sourcing strategies. Jeff also leads the development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management programs, partnering with leadership to reinforce governance frameworks and ensure risk and assurance insights are tightly aligned with enterprise priorities and long-term strategy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Towson University and maintains certifications as a CPA, CIA, and CISA. He is actively involved in the AICPA, MACPA, ISACA, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys time with his family, fishing, golfing, and attending concerts and sporting events.
