Andrea Hartman is the Director of SC&H’s Affordable Housing practice, bringing over 20 years of expertise in assurance, consulting, and accounting services. Her career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, working extensively with small to medium-sized private companies and nonprofit organizations across diverse industries. Her deep knowledge and client-first approach have earned her a trusted reputation in the field.
As a CPA, Andrea is highly skilled at navigating complex financial reporting requirements. Her specialties include audited financial statements, consolidated and combined financial reports, and compliance with federal and state agency regulations for real estate owners and developers. Her expertise also encompasses tax credit cost certifications and agreed-upon procedures, ensuring clarity and precision in even the most demanding regulatory environments.
Andrea collaborates with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, leveraging her technical expertise and strategic insight to support her clients’ broader missions.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland. She is a licensed CPA in Maryland and an active member of professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Andrea also contributes to the Housing Association for Nonprofit Developers (HAND) and the Virginia Housing Alliance (VHA), furthering her impact in affordable housing development.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys quality time with her husband, two children, and beloved family dog. Her passions include traveling, exploring the outdoors, swimming, cycling, and immersing herself in new experiences and captivating books.
