For 10-weeks spanning June to August, our interns work on diverse client projects and receive guided mentorship in one of our 11 unique service lines. We even occasionally welcome candidates for internships beyond the summer season.

Identify the service line that aligns with your professional course then apply for the corresponding intern role on our job listing site. If you have talked with a college recruiter at a networking event and/or on-site career fair, you will still need to apply online.

Our recruiting team will review all applications and reach out to qualified candidates with the next steps. Please keep in mind that we receive a high volume of applications and do our best to review them in a timely manner.

If you are selected to advance in the process, you will then interview with leaders from your chosen service line. On-site campus interviews are scheduled through your university’s platform (Handshake, Symplicity, etc.).

During the first week, we give overviews of our service lines and provide technical and soft skills training. Throughout the program, interns mimic the duties of first-year staff—working with project teams on supervised client deliverables, interacting with clients, shadowing senior colleagues, and engaging in company events. Each intern is paired with a mentor for the duration and completes a final project and presentation on one of our service lines before finishing their time at SC&H.

After your internship, we’d love to hear from you through an exit interview! Your feedback will help our team enhance the program and ensure an outstanding experience for future interns.

At the end of the program, offers may be extended to graduating seniors at the discretion of the service lines based on performance, culture fit, budget, and other variables.

From Intern to Innovator: FAQs

We sponsor international candidates on a case-by-case basis, especially those eligible for the federal 24-month STEM OPT extension. Remember, it’s essential for the student to check their eligibility, and if unsure, they can seek guidance from their school’s office of international programs.

Our campus recruiting team will help interns during interviews to identify their ideal location and service line for the internship. The internship office location is typically determined by the service line’s base location. We’ll be sure to find the best spot for you!

Get ready for an electrifying summer with us! Our interns get to experience life at SC&H while bonding with our full-timers. From an epic Day of Service spent volunteering in the community, engaging baseball outings, and fun-filled happy hours to some friendly competition at our Field Day and hanging with furry friends during Bring Your Dog to Work Day–there’s something for everyone! Plus, your service line might surprise you with its own mini events. You’re guaranteed to have a blast.

Sophomore students in our extern program attend a 5-day on-site internship orientation without being assigned to a specific service line. You’ll take part in service line overviews, training sessions, and our annual Day of Service event. If you’re a freshman, we’d love to talk with you and encourage you to apply, but formal participation in the extern program starts in your sophomore year.
