HR veteran brings three decades of experience building people teams through periods of rapid growth

Hunt Valley, Md. (September 29, 2026) – SC&H, a global consulting and financial services firm, announced the appointment of Jenn Hervy as Chief Human Resources Officer. Hervy will lead the firm’s human resources strategy from hire to retire, overseeing recruiting, learning and development, total rewards, and the employee experience across SC&H’s offices in the United States and India.

Hervy brings nearly 30 years of human resources leadership to the role. She joins SC&H from Optum, a UnitedHealth Group business, where she served as a senior director on the people team and partnered with executive leadership across Optum Financial’s $800 million consumer business. Before Optum, she was Vice President and Head of Human Resources at ConnectYourCare, where she built the HR function for the private equity-backed company as it grew to 500 employees across 31 states and guided the people side of its 2020 sale to Optum Financial.

Earlier in her career, Hervy held senior HR leadership roles at SafeNet, later acquired by Gemalto, as well as Textron Systems and Millennium Inorganic Chemicals. Across those roles she served as a strategic HR partner to business line leaders, managed global compensation programs spanning six countries, led HR operations and systems, and supported multiple acquisition integrations.

“As an ESOP firm, we’re a collective group of owners striving to take SC&H to its full potential without losing focus on our people,” said Pritpal Kalsi, CEO of SC&H. “As we’ve grown from our Baltimore roots into a national and global firm, we looked for a leader with large-firm experience who also fits our culture, and Jenn is exactly that. Jenn knows how to transform a team, and she knows how to take care of one. I am excited to see SC&H and our people grow under her leadership.”

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Hervy will oversee talent acquisition, learning and development, total rewards, and HR operations for the firm’s employee-owners. Her appointment comes as SC&H continues to grow, with recent expansion in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Howard County, Maryland, as well as the firm’s first international office in Gurugram, India.

“I have spent my career with companies going through big transitions, and the ones that came through strongest were the ones that took care of their people first,” said Hervy. “SC&H already thinks that way. My job is to build on it, making sure every person here has room to grow and a clear path forward.”

Hervy holds a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Goucher College. A longtime member of Maryland’s HR community, she volunteers with the Greater Baltimore SHRM organization (formerly known as Chesapeake Human Resources Association), where she has been active with the College Relations committee and has been a member of the Executive Roundtable for over a decade.  She also has served on the alumnae/i board at Goucher College, and supports organizations in Kent County, Maryland, including The Garfield Theatre for the Arts, The Mainstay, and The Friends of Eastern Neck Island.
