(“Carpet Fair” or the ”Company”), has been acquired by Lelora Brands (“Lelora”), founded by Joshua Williams, and now owners of multiple brands including FloorMax, FloorMax Commercial, Carpet Fair, Inc., Next Day Floors, and the Annapolis Design Center.
Carpet Fair is a leading provider of a wide variety of floor coverings and other home furnishings to residential and commercial customers in the Mid-Atlantic. The Company’s residential division operates under the brand name Next Day Floors and has the largest flooring, cabinetry, and window treatment selection in the state of Maryland. The commercial division is marketed under the brand name Carpet Fair and works with a broad range of government and business customers across various industries.
SC&H Capital was retained by the Company as the exclusive investment banker to conduct a sale process and structure a creative solution that would maintain the legacy of the Company and its employees while providing a long-term tenant for the family-owned real estate. SC&H Capital ran a comprehensive marketing process, which included several interested parties conducting thorough due diligence including in-depth discussions with management and multiple site visits. Ultimately, the Company sold to Lelora, preserving the legacy of a local 65+ year Maryland brand. Most importantly, the Company found an investor willing to push its retail and commercial operational expansion throughout the Mid-Atlantic corridor.
