Our Community Impact
In Action
Our 2025 Community Impact Report highlights the mission-driven organizations we supported and the meaningful ways our team showed up throughout the year. From our annual Day of Service to employee-led volunteer initiatives and holiday gift drives, SC&Hers came together to make a difference in the communities where we live and work. This report isn’t just about the data; it also celebrates the collective effort and community spirit that defined us in 2025.

Human Services
Strengthening Our Community
This year, our team showed up in big and small ways to support families facing food insecurity, financial hardship, and the everyday challenges that can make life feel heavy. Partnering with organizations like Baltimore Hunger Project and Fairfax County’s Adopt-a-Family program, we rolled up our sleeves to strengthen the communities we’re proud to call home.
Extern Volunteer Event
Our externs volunteered with the Baltimore Hunger Project to assemble Birthday Kits for children experiencing food insecurity in our community. Each kit included celebration essentials to help ensure every child can feel special on their special day. Through this hands-on effort, our team supported BHP’s mission to nourish children and uplift families across our community.
Gift Drive
Each holiday season, our Tysons Corner team looks forward to participating in the Adopt-a-Family program, supporting families in need of clothing, food, and gifts. Whether it’s choosing warm winter coats or tracking down the perfect toy, our team embraces the chance to make the season a little brighter. Seeing the joy these gifts bring is a powerful reminder of what community is all about.
Elf Week
The Salvation Army of Central Maryland’s Angel Tree Program provides toys and clothing to thousands of children in need every holiday season. Through Elf Week, organized by Business Volunteers Maryland, local businesses come together to support the effort. SC&Hers spent the day sorting donations, assembling stockings, and “shopping” the warehouse to match gifts with each child’s holiday wish list.
Wreaths Out
Wreaths Across America is committed to commemorating fallen U.S. Veterans, paying tribute to active servicemembers, and instilling in children the importance of freedom. A group of SC&Hers from our Tysons Corner office participated in the cleanup of wreaths placed on the heroes’ graves at Arlington National Cemetery during the Wreaths Out event in January.
Youth Services & Education
Empowering the Next Generation
Supporting the youth remained one of our largest focus areas in 2025. Through partnerships with organizations dedicated to education, mentorship, and essential family support, our team worked to help young people gain the skills, resources, and stability they need to thrive.
Trees of Hope
In the spirit of giving, SC&H partnered once again with Cool Kids Campaign through its Trees of Hope program. Our office tree was decorated with wish list ornaments representing children fighting cancer, giving our team the opportunity to purchase meaningful gifts that bring a bit of comfort and joy during a difficult time.
Zoo Run 5k
SC&Hers and their families participated in the Casey Cares 5K, coming together in support of children facing critical illnesses. Held at the Maryland Zoo, participants followed a course through the grounds, spotting animals along the way. Proceeds from the event help fund programs that provide uplifting experiences to families navigating difficult medical journeys.
Finance Park
SC&H volunteers partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Maryland and Greater Washington’s Finance Parks to help local middle school students strengthen their financial literacy through an interactive budgeting simulation. As students created balanced household budgets and navigated monthly expenses, our team supported the development of critical thinking to help prepare them for real world experiences.
Monthly Dinners
Every month, a group of SC&H volunteers prepare and serve a home-cooked meal for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Baltimore. After the meal, our team has a chance to spend time connecting with families and offering a small sense of comfort and normalcy during a difficult time. Giving these families a small sense of home is what makes this monthly event so fulfilling.
Adopt-A-Club
This holiday season, SC&H partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore to support their Adopt-A-Club initiative, helping ensure every Club member experienced the joy of receiving a wrapped gift. Paired with three local Clubs, our team fulfilled holiday wish lists for nearly 95 children, making the season a little brighter for the families they serve.
Turkey Drive
She Believes in Me empowers vulnerable children and families across Northern Virginia, and we’re proud to support their mission of ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive. In November, we donated $500 to support their Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, helping families celebrate the holiday with a turkey on the table.
Health & Wellness
Inspiring Movement & Impact
In 2025, SC&Hers supported initiatives that promote health and wellness across our communities. From raising funds for rare cancer research and supporting inclusive athletics to expanding access to youth sports and fitness, our team showed up in active and impactful ways.
Cycle for Survival
SC&H Chicago proudly joins Cycle for Survival, a nationwide indoor cycling movement that raises funds for rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This event brings together riders and supporters from all walks of life to fund breakthroughs in the fight against rare cancers. We’re honored to be part of this community again this year, helping fuel life-changing research with every mile and dollar raised.
Field Day
Southwest Sports & Fitness Alliance (SSFA) is dedicated to uniting youth and families in Baltimore through sports and fitness. Through our annual Field Day fundraiser, SC&H was proud to support SSFA’s mission while bringing our people together around teamwork and friendly competition. In 2025, our efforts raised more than $2K to help expand access to youth sports and wellness programming in our community.
Polar Bear Plunge
The Polar Bear Plunge is one of Maryland’s most iconic fundraising events, bringing thousands of participants together each winter to brave the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay in support of Special Olympics Maryland. Funds raised through the Plunge help provide inclusive programming for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state. SC&H is proud to take part in this tradition!
Impact by the Numbers
Since 2019, we’ve intentionally tracked our firm’s community efforts to measure our impact, and in 2025 we’re proud to report continued year-over-year growth. Through an annual firm-wide survey, SC&H gathers data directly from our team members to better understand the ways we’re giving back. By sharing these insights, we hope to showcase the work of some outstanding organizations, recognize colleagues’ contributions, and inspire continued involvement.
Growing Our Presence, Strengthening Our Communities
Expanding our footprint means more than new office locations; it means new communities to learn from, support, and serve. We’re proud to invest our time and energy wherever our people live and work.
Primary Cause Areas
2025 Day of Service
In June, 220 SC&H volunteers dedicated their time to support the mission of twelve nonprofits during our annual Day of Service (DOS). From preparing meals for the elderly to weeding and clearing trails, we totaled over 900 hours of service and infused $31,288 into the community. This event is highly anticipated each year, as it allows our team to support their local community while strengthening connections with their colleagues.
From Day of Service to Ongoing Impact
“My Day of Service experience opened the door to ShareBaby, an organization whose mission deeply resonated with me. It inspired me to stay involved long after that day and ultimately to join the board to help strengthen their impact. ”

Senior Manager, Audit & ShareBaby Board Member
Stronger Together
Business Volunteers Maryland has been a valued partner in our community engagement efforts for over 20 years, helping forge strong connections between businesses, people, and nonprofits. Through ongoing collaboration, they support our work year-round, from bringing our annual Day of Service to life to connecting our employees with leadership opportunities through the GIVE Fellowship and BoardConnect programs. These pathways create meaningful opportunities for our team to deepen their involvement and serve in new capacities. We are grateful for their trusted partnership and the shared commitment that continues to strengthen our communities.
