Ian Evan Alexander Corporation (IEA) is a leading provider of strategy, technical, and analytical support services to mission critical federal customers. IEA performed its differentiated capabilities on a pair of large, IDIQ contracts with Washington Headquarter Services (DoD).
IEA’s Board of Directors determined that they should evaluate bringing in a private equity partner to recapitalize the Company for future growth. The Board selected SC&H to run a process designed to minimize distraction and exposure in the market, and still generate significant competitive tension among the chosen prospective private equity groups.
SC&H received and analyzed multiple attractive and competitive bids for the Board to evaluate, and the Board selected Enlightenment Capital due in large part to management’s comfort level with the Enlightenment team as well as the private equity firm’s vision for growth of the business.
