As a Financial Advisor with SC&H Financial Advisors, Chris DeBlanc has more than 11 years experience working in accounting and financial planning. Chris uses his combined experience as an accountant and financial planner to work together with clients to create a holistic, personal financial plan that aims to build, grow, and preserve wealth.
His goal with every client is to enable them to live an extraordinary life, a life full of purpose and passion – the life they’ve always dreamed of. Chris helps clients discover and achieve their personal financial goals; then, as life happens and circumstances change, he works to adjust the plan to keep them on course. For Chris, passion is providing the most value he can to the lives of the people he serves.
Chris is a graduate of both the University of Richmond and the American Military University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting, and a Master’s in Intelligence Analysis respectively. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Financial Planner™, CFP®, and holds his Series 65 license.
Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Chris served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He completed two tours in Iraq, and after leaving the Marines; Chris served another two years in Iraq with the US State Department.
Chris also volunteers with the Society of Financial Service Professionals at their community outreach forum to provide free financial advice to the underserved communities of Washington D.C. Additionally, Chris works with Junior Achievement to help teach middle school students personal finance concepts.
An outdoorsman, Chris enjoys cycling the Mount Vernon Trail and kayaking the Potomac River. His greatest joy is spending time with his wife, Sofia, and their baby daughter, Aria.
