It’s not every day that you get to say you work with a Bob Dillon. A Director in the Firm’s Tax Practice, Bob currently leads the Corporate Tax Services division. With more than 35 years of experience, including 11 with SC&H, Bob has an established record of U.S. Federal and State and International tax planning and tax compliance. He has extensive experience with:

  • ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes)
  • Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Implementations
  • Mergers
  • Acquisitions
  • Dispositions
  • Federal and State Audit Controversy

When he’s not in the office or on-site with a client, Bob can typically be found doing something outdoors with his family – whether it’s on a field, court, trail or road. You name the sport, and Bob has played or coached it – whether it’s high school boys’ basketball, girls AAU basketball, travel soccer, cycling or more.

Bob is most passionate about the relationships he builds with clients and colleagues – he relishes the opportunities to help clients solve problems and turn the complex into simple, while teaching his team along the way and developing good people. Very principled and respectful, Bob is in his element when he’s helping the practice grow its footprint and develop new client relationships.

He has advised on state and local income tax issues such as tax structuring and audit planning, negotiations and settlements, and has deep experience with international tax issues – advising on corporate restructuring of international operations addressing issues relating to tax accounting, tax filing, and cross-border transactions.

Throughout his career, Bob has spoken on numerous occasions on topics relative to the more complex issues surrounding corporate tax, and finds particular enjoyment in his specific industries of expertise including, but not limited to:

A graduate of Loyola College (Maryland), Bob holds a B.A. in Accounting and is a CPA licensed to practice in Maryland. He is an active member of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), and of the Loyola University Accounting Advisory Board.

Bob currently resides in Baltimore County, Md., with his wife, and has four children – two boys and two girls.
